This is the official sequence of events as determined by the Authority of the Gate.
On April 23, 2014 at 6:43:23 pm the first report of this new 'disease' was unknown to most. In order to keep the populace from panic the United States Government dismissed the reports as a work of fiction. Officials were given this statement however; Any contact to the blood or saliva of subject 0 and the disease spread to whomever came in contact.
On April 25, 2014 at 3:34:04 pm subject 0 was moved to a secure military base in Texas for study.
On May 6th, 2014 at 2:21:09 am. subject 0 was able to break free from it's bonds and attack five men. They changed so rapidly that they were not put down. The entire base was wiped out.
May 6th through June 27th 2014 the disease spread to the entire North American and South American continents.
On July 16th, 2014 at 5:43:32 pm. the first of the infected made landfall on European shores. All contact was lost within three days.
On August 3rd, 2014 all communications fell. The world had gone quiet.
September 28th, 2015 the first part of the Gate was established.
October 12th, 2015, the first inhabitants of the Gate established the Authority.
February 15th, 2016 word of the Gate spreads, more people start to come there to find refuge. The first reported cases of 'Carriers' are filed with the Authority.
May 6th, 2016 the second anniversary of the unofficial start of the end of the world passes quietly and without incident. The Quarantine Zone is established as a ghetto for the Carriers.
June 1st, 2016 reports come in of a gang calling themselves Bloodlust from the nearby 'Dead City'.
June 4th, 2016; first patrols are initiated around the perimeter of the Gate.
January 18th, 2017; the Carrier population expands. The Authority begins issuing waivers against the contact with Carriers for fear that the disease will spread from them to the non-affected humans.
November 23rd, 2017; renovation on the local football stadium to an Arena begins.
May 6th, 2017; renovations are completed and the first official 'games' are held to celebrate the passing of another year in the wake of the end of the world.
October 3rd, 2018 Jet's Bar opens.
June 25th, 2019; current year.
